Loose Ends

LOOSE ENDS IS A SUCCESSFUL BRITISH R&B BAND FORMED IN 1980 AND SIGNED TO VIRGIN RECORDS IN 1981

Loose Ends are the first British R&B band to have a no.1 US chart position with Hanging on a String, followed a few years later by Slow Down. They were also the first UK RnB band to have a gold selling Album in the U.S.

After Jane Eugene and Steve Nichol left the group, Carl McIntosh went on to create and produce the “Look How Long” album released in 1990, with the hit single “Don’t be a Fool” laying to rest the assumption that the group had broken up.

Carl McIntosh’s musicianship, singing, songwriting & production can also be heard on songs by Caron Wheeler, Ruth Joy, 5-Star, Phyllis Hyman, D'Angelo, Angie Stone and Leon Ware to name a few. A few years ago he featured, alongside a number of male UK soul great on the single Spiritual reminding us of his silky vocals.

These vocals were once again showcased on the last Loose Ends release, Gonna Make You Mine/Forever More providing us with a snapshot of what is to come as he finalises a new Loose Ends album.

As well as recording he is still actively performing up and down the country.
